Design

This site was created by Sean Hayford O’Leary in May and June 2006. Rough-edged font gracing much of the site is “Anthology” by Gyom Séguin.

Backend

This site powered by WordPress and hosted by DreamHost. Javascript effects are from the script.aculo.us and Prototype libraries as well as Lightbox JS.

Standards-compliance

Every reasonable effort has been made for this website to be compliant with the W3C and other organizations. It is known to be compliant with the following standards:

  • XHTML 1.1
  • CSS 2
    • Admittedly, only my core stylesheet is completely valid. Some extras (such as Lightbox JS — mentioned above) include CSS that is not fully valid. Modifying it to make it valid would, unfortunately, impair its functionality.
  • WCAG (Priorities 1, 2, and 3)
  • Section 508

If you discover a page that is not in compliance, please let me know.

Cookies

In order to better understand usage of this site, I’ve implemented Google Analytics. This does, however, leave four unsolicited cookies on your computer. If you really hate this and are someone who wants to modify each address before they request it, you can append “?dynamic=false” to any page and it won’t load CSS or any Javascript (including the Google Analytics script that sets the cookie). I could allow someone to create a cookie to do this, but that would be deliciously ironic.
